L-ascorbic acid is preferred to be used in serum form. This way, it can be easily absorbed and will give fast results. Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (MAP) - This is a derivative of vitamin C which also has collagen boosting effects just like L-ascorbic acid. However, between the two types, magnesium ascorbyl phosphate is a lot stable than L-ascorbic acid. The downsized of MAP is that it easily degrades if exposed too much to sunlight and with time. Ascorbyl Palmitate - Like MAP, this is also a vitamin C derivative. However, this does not have equal qualities of MAP and L-ascorbic acid. But among the three this elevates the production of collagen more.
Vitamin C is easily acquired. It can be included in the food and fruits we eat or it can be on every skin care cream and supplements that we take for maintaining the body and skins' health.
